Segments VS. CBRs... What's The Difference❓🤔
While CBRs are a classic in the piercer community, hinged segments have quickly become popular for their easy hinge and seamless look. CBRs have a distinct ball, but can be hard to open and close, which sometimes requires tools, making it difficult to change on your own.

Ring openers and closers are essential tools when handling CBRs.
Our steel ring openers, or "reverse pliers" are 6” long and are able to open rings up to a 6g with diameters of 1/4” up to 3/4”. These pliers have notches to provide a safe and secure grip on the jewellery when opening them.

Our stainless steel ring closing pliers come in two different sizes. The small size will close ring sizes of 1/2" and smaller. The large size pliers are best for ring sizes of 5/8" and larger.

Fixed Ball VS. Spring Ball CBRs
What makes fixed ball and spring ball CBRs different from a regular CBR?
Never lose the ball again, as the surgical steel ball is attached to one side of the ring. Available in many sizes. All rings have 2mm ball attached.
Like a regular CBR except the ball has a spring on either side. No tools needed to slide this ball into place. This style is great for the larger gauge rings.
